Getting the most out of Zen Cart
After posting about getting site search data from Zen Cart it reminded me of a great tip.
The site search function on Zen Cart is not great with plurals and singular words. For example if you have a product titled Dog Coat and a visitor searches for Dog Coats, that product will not show up in the results. Silly I know. I have mentioned it to Zen Cart developers. So a good way to get round this is to use the plural (Dog Coats) in the product title then work the singular spelling into the product description. “This fantastic dog coat….”.
By doing this the product will show up whether the visitor searches for the singular or plural spelling of a product.

The reason I started this blog was because I've spoken to so many people who have setup on line, but are struggling for sales or people who want to get online, but don't know how to. Selling online is very difficult. It's competitive, pretty much no matter what you sell and it can be expensive to setup (and advertise). You can be selling the best products on the web, but it's pointless unless you get the visitors and they can use your site when they finally get there
